Nepal has defeated the United States by 6 wickets with 2 balls still remaining in its first match of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers hosted by Scotland and Ireland.
Nepal restricted the United States, which had won the toss and elected to bat first, on 121/10 in the alloted 20 overs in the match held in Belfast, Ireland.
Anil Mandal made 42 runs, while Gyanendra Malla scored highest 52 runs for Nepal. Skipper Paras Khadka collected 21.
Earlier, Basant Regmi and Shakti Gauchan took 3 wickets each. Sompal Kami and Sagar Pun took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
For the US team, Akeem Dodson scored highest 39 off 33 for the US including a six and four boundaries. Fahad Babar collected 23 off 15 balls including a six and 3 fours.
